Polaris World Completions

Some useful information when completing on your property purchase at Polaris World:

Completion of your property is handled by Polaris World completions department. Polaris World will contact clients directly regarding the arrangements to complete on their property purchase. We do not have any details on timings and arrangements for individual properties however the phone number for the completions department at Polaris is 0034 968 030 380 should you wish to contact them.

If you are looking to arrange a mortgage we suggest you begin this process as soon as possible. It can take 6-8 weeks to have this arranged. We recommend Barclays for this as their interest rates are competitive and their banking, including internet banking is in English.

Email this to us by return or fax to 0207 060 1476. An Agreement in Principle normally takes a few days to obtain and you can then decide whether to proceed to a full application.

Some important points to start considering in advance of completion:

You will be required to attend at the relevant notary office in Murcia, Spain (unless you have a Power of Attorney). Polaris will advise of the location.
Polaris will ask you to sign off on snagging of your property. You can do this in advance of your visit, a day before or choose to employ a snagging specialist. (Search Google Polaris World snagging for choice)
Allow 4-8 weeks to arrange a mortgage. Read more: Polaris World Mortgage
You will need a bankers draft drawn on a Spanish bank account to complete. Polaris will advise of the amounts for notary fees and taxes.
Polaris will arrange for connection of your electricity and water but you may need to grant them permission to deal with the utility companies on your behalf. If they don't ask you please be sure to remind them.
Note that Polaris do not make any arrangements for your travel, pick up etc. Please see below for details of hotels and car hire in the area.
From past experience Polaris do have some flexibility on dates (but you may need to push for any date changes)
You will need a Spanish NIE number for each buyer. Polaris or your solicitor can arrange this.
