Mortgage terms offered by banks on second homes have changed in recent years. As an example of one of the best deals around at the moment we have an interest only mortgage through one of the large UK mortgage lenders.

 

This mortgage tracks the Euribor rate and is currently (September 2009) under 2.0% interest rate. You can borrow up to 60% of the property price. The mortgage is interest only for 5 years then converts to a repayment mortgage for up to 40 years (or 70 years of age). There is a 1% administration fee charged by the bank.

 

We also have a selection of specific bank owned properties for sale that are offered with mortgages up to 90% of the purchase price. These are available currently at Condado de Alhama and Hacienda Riquelme on specific properties.
